The 154th Annual Meeting of the American Fisheries Society in Honolulu, HI is gearing up to be an exciting meeting!! The Estuaries Section has co-sponsored a session and evening social, and we hope that our members will be there to represent our section, more details below.
SYMPOSIUM – The Estuaries Section has co-sponsored a symposium with the Marine Fisheries Section, organized by our own Konstantine Rountos, entitled ‘Coastal Systems in Flux: Fish and Fisheries in a Multi-stressor World‘ (https://afsannualmeeting.fisheries.org/2024/03/24/coastal-systems-in-flux-fish-and-fisheries-in-a-multi-stressor-world/). This symposium will highlight recent research in the topics of coastal and estuarine habitat degradation as well as insights from successful stakeholder partnerships.
SOCIAL – The Estuaries Section has co-sponsored a networking social with the Cooperative Research with Stakeholders Section (CRSS) that will take place during Stakeholder Engagement Day. Estuaries Section members are welcome to event, which takes place on Tuesday September 17th at 5:30pm at the Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu. Drink tickets will be given to Estuaries Section members upon arrival!!
